A Kolel Devoted to Seder Taharos
Every day our Yungeleit learn סוגיות in סדר טהרות בעיון.
Taharos is the Seder of the Mishnah with the fewest people learning it, because apart from Maseches Niddah it has no Gemara. It is the very Seder David HaMelech held up as the standard for his own Tehillim.

David HaMelech asked that his Tehillim be read, learned and rewarded like Negaim and Ohalos.

Rav Shmuel Binyamin Schiffer שליט״א
HaGaon HaRav Shmuel Binyamin Schiffer שליט״א is the center of the Kolel.
The Rav grew up in Boro Park and is a scion of the great family of the חתם סופר. He is a תלמיד מובהק of Rav Shach זצ״ל. For many years he learned quietly, away from the public eye.
Today the Rav gives a number of shiurim in various sugyos throughout Monsey, and together with the efforts of the Taharos Institute, his Torah is spreading in several areas of Torah.
The Friday Shiur
The Rav’s Friday shiur is open to the public. It is a unique shiur that everyone is invited to, and it draws some of the greatest תלמידי חכמים of Monsey and beyond, including ראשי ישיבות, ראשי כוללים and מגידי שיעורים.

Taharos Institute
The Taharos Institute in Monsey brings the least-learned part of the Mishnah back to the בית המדרש, and brings the בית המדרש to every Yid who wants a part in it.
What Is Taharos?
Seder Taharos is the sixth and last Seder of the Mishnah. Its twelve masechtos cover the halachos of tumah and taharah: Keilim, Ohalos, Negaim, Parah, Mikvaos and more. Apart from Maseches Niddah there is no Gemara Bavli on it. Taharos was learned by all, but learning it in depth was generally kept for the elite of the תלמידי חכמים.

What the Institute Does
Our Yungeleit learn in Kolel Taharos every day, and dozens more תלמידי חכמים and בעלי בתים join for shiurim and special learning events. The Institute publishes the chiddushim of the Kolel and runs the Friday shiurim and hotline of Maayan HaTorah. Through Smach Zevulun, בעלי בתים come to learn on Sunday, join shiurim and learn with the Yungeleit. Through ITIM, Yidden are connected with a Yungerman to learn with.
